ETrs CO-ORDINATION BOARD

The ETrs Co-ordination Board is a State Corporation established under the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Act. The Board’s mandate is to register, facilitate and regulate national and international Non-Governmental Organisations operating in Kenya. The Board is hereby advertising the following positions for recruitment on contract basis and internship programme.

JOB SUMMARY:
Job Designation: RESEARCH ASSISTANT – ONE (1) YEAR CONTRACT
Job Ref: NGOB/HR-RC/RA/CONTRACT-2018/2019

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
(i) Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines:- Statistics and Mathematics, Statistics and Economics from a recognized institution;
(ii) Analytical and research skills;
(iii) Proficiency in computer applications
(iv) Knowledge in SPSS software will be an added advantage
(v) Demonstrate merit in performance and results

Duties/Key responsibilities:

i) Undertaking research on emerging national and global issues/trends on management of ETrs;
ii) Collecting and analysing data;
iii) Preparing database to facilitate dissemination of information;
iv) Preparing periodic monthly and quarterly reports and findings on research for the Board;
v) Drafting and compiling reports on research issues.

Experience:
• At least one (1) year Internship/ working experience in a business oriented and busy environment and especially dealing in a service provision environment

Job Designation: RECORDS MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT – ONE (1) YEAR CONTRACT
Job Grade: NGOB/HR-RC/RMA/CONTRACT-2018/2019

Minimum Qualifications:
i) Diploma in Records/Information Management, Information Library Science or equivalent from a recognized institution
ii) Proficiency in Records Management
iii) Demonstrate merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Experience:
• At least one (1) year Internship/working experience in record management in busy environment and especially dealing in a service provision environment.

Duties/Key responsibilities:

i) Ensure security of files and documents
ii) Controlling and opening of files, updating file index and renewing of files covers
iii) Ensure proper handling of documents, pending correspondences and bring-ups
iv) Receiving, sorting, opening, filing and distribution of mails
v) Ensure that letters are appropriately filed and marked to action officers.
vi) Preparing and dispatching letters and maintaining registers
vii) Up-dating and maintaining up-to-date file movement records
viii) Dealing with enquiries and requests for information from both internal and external clients.
ix) Conducting record searches.

Job Designation: OPERATIONS AND COMPLIANCE ASSISTANT – ONE (1) YEAR CONTRACT
Job Ref: NGOB/HR-RC/OCA/CONTRACT-2018/2019

Minimum Qualification and Requirements for appointment:
i) Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Commerce – Accounting/Finance Option
ii) Experience in an audit firm will be an added advantage
iii) Proficiency in computer applications

Duties / Key Responsibilities

i) Receiving, recording and scrutinising ETrs’ annual reports (returns);
ii) Advising ETrs on their compliance status and due dates for filing annual reports;
iii) Developing a list of all ETrs’ due dates for submission of annual reports status;
iv) Preparing weekly summaries on data of ETrs and their annual returns status;
v) Preparing monthly reports on annual reports;

Experience:
• At least one (1) year Internship/working experience in in busy environment and especially dealing in a service provision.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME – NGOB/HR-RC/INTERNSHIP-2018/2019
DURATION: SIX (6) MONTHS

Requirements for appointment:

Fresh graduates with the following qualifications and skills are hereby invited to submit their applications to be engaged to the Board’s internship programme.

i) Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Statistics, Economics, ICT or any other relevant social science field;
ii) Proficiency in computer applications, excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
iii) Good command of English both oral and written and
iv) Customer service skills and attention to details
